Even if you weren’t born and raised in Pittsburgh you may find these old and very high res photos of interest. They are from the “Pittsburgh Photographer” collection and start around 1904 and go up to the eighties. The purpose was to document all the road work, including bridges and other construction.
I wish there was something like this for Berkeley.
